On October 15, 2006, Vanilla Fudge was among the first class of inductees into the brand new Long Island Music Hall of Fame. Vince, Mark Stein and Carmine Appice were on hand to accept their awards. Tim Bogert could not attend due to a commitment in California. The inaugural ceremony was held at the newly renovated Patchogue Theater in Patchogue, NY. Vanilla Fudge was inducted by Vanilla Fudge hero and friend Felix Cavaliere of the Rascals. Other inductees present included Joan Jett, Little Anthony (and the Imperials), Johnny Maestro and the Brooklyn Bridge, Twisted Sister, Leslie West and Mountain, Peter Criss (Kiss) and Billy Joel. Famous presenters included, of course Felix, and Peter Tork of the Monkees. There were 29 initial inductees.

Following the ceremony there was an all star jam session in which Vince joined up with Peter Tork and Mark Mendoza(Twisted Sister). They were really rockin' the blues, and Vince had fans coming to the stage for his autograph. Russ T. Blades and Pete Bremy from Vince's band joined Vince for the jam.

October, 2005 - Vanilla Fudge takes a break after Tim Bogert is injured in bike accident

Vince and the rest of the Fudge are on hiatus from the Strange Days Tour after Tim Bogert suffered severe injuries in a motorcycle accident. Tim is recuperating, and he is expected to be able to tour again in a month or two. So hopefully at least by the new year, they'll be back on the road. The tour itself was not without injuries as Vince himself injured his ankle while on the road. He was in a lot of pain, but was a real trouper and stayed on the tour!

In the meantime, Vince is keeping busy with some live performances with his own band. In September, there was an emergency show that we couldn't even announce as Vince, Peg, Pete and Russ, headlined a concert in Westchester County, NY with only 24 hours notice after Leslie West and Mountain had to cancel due to illness. We're trying to get some photos of that show, and we'll put them up when we get them. Vince also did another benefit in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn, with Peg, Pete and Tiger Bill Meligari on drums. Vince will be performing another benefit for Gulf Coast hurricane victims on Long Island sponsored by WLIV Radio on October 28th.

May, 2005 - Another site overhaul, oh and by the way, all four original Vanilla Fudge members are.... BACK TOGETHER!!!

Probably the biggest thing that any Fudge fan could ask for. Yes, at the end of this month, Vince Martell, Tim Bogert, Carmine Appice and.... Mark Stein will begin rehearsals together for a summer tour of the USA and Canada. About 30 shows have already been booked, and they will be touring for the first time in over twenty years! They will be on the same bill with Steppenwolf and The Doors! What a tour this will be! Okay folks, stay tuned and dig deep for ticket... and maybe even plane fare money!!! July 4, 2003 - Happy Birthday - USA!

On this day, July 4, 2003, Vince and the rest of the band wish the United States of America a very Happy Birthday. This is indeed a solemn birthday celebration. As a proud US Navy veteran, Vince thanks all the men and women of the US Armed Forces at home and abroad risking their lives to keep us free. While we sit at home and watch the spectacular fireworks displays, we must keep in mind they are only symbols of the real bombs and bullets our uniformed men and women are facing even as this is written. Keep them in your prayers today.

    God Bless the USA.

Stay tuned for new live shows coming. Many are in the works! Stay tuned!

July 2, 2003 - Vince and the band play impromptu outdoor concert!

We are so sorry we didn't have time to report the news! It came up so suddenly. Vince and the band played an outdoor concert at Bear Mtn. State Park along the majestic Hudson River in upstate New York. The occasion was a classic car "Cruise In", hundreds of classic cars along with thousands of people came to this now famous get together. The Viince Martell Band provided the music! Stay tuned, as this event was a huge success, and may be repeated in the VERY near future!

March 2, 2003 - A little late... but worth the wait! Fantastic Review by Ray Manzarek!

On July 7, 2002, Vanilla Fudge played at the DTE Energy Center in Charleston, MI. Ray Manzarek of The Doors was also on the bill. Ray wrote a fantastic review of The Fudge and especially Vince! Here's an excerpt:

"...For as entertaining as Manzarek and Jefferson Starship were to be, the cream of the crop came to the stage early and in the full light of day. Vanilla Fudge simply melted with the audience for an hour during which so much Progressive Hard Rock and Soul Territory was crossed that you would need a road map to find your way back. This was musical bliss beyond all else and easily the set of the summer at DTE. If audience/group synergy ever existed it was here and now with this hour of Vanilla Fudge. Each breath of air was split to its basic elements by the Metal cum Funk guitar of Vince Martell. A more moving and soulful shredder may not exist in all of Classic Rock. If Martell blew the air apart it was the imcomparable rhythm section of Carmine Appice and T.M. Stevens that recombined the elements to make something even more conductive to Martell's electricity."

                          -Ray Manzerek

November 29, 2002 - Vince finishes his tribute to Jimi Hendrix CD!

"It's something I've always wanted to do...." says Vince, and now he's done it! We kept it quiet so it would be a surprise, and now, it's done! Vince and the band; Peg Pearl, Pete Bremy, and Russ T. Blades, have finished it. Vince recorded many of Jimi's biggest tunes from Purple Haze to Foxey Lady, and there are some lesser know tunes as well. Vince also produced the CD. And it's here, it rocks, and it's Vince at his best!!! Place your advance order now!

September 17, 2002 - Vince peforms at George Harrison tribute

This item is a little late, but better late than never! :-) We all know- or should know, a-hem- that Vanilla Fudge was one of the late great George Harrison's favorite bands. It's written up in the Rock Encyclopedia. Anyhoo, earlier this year, Vince was invited to perform at the George Harrison tribute at the annual Beatlefest convention in Secaucus, NJ. We just found a website that has a photo of Vince performing there. Other famous names sharing the stage with Vince at the tribute were Max Weinberg* (drummer for Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band, Late Show with Conan O'Brian bandleader) Klaus Voorman (bass player for John Lennon and George Harrison post Beatle era), Billy J. Kramer (of Billy J. Kramer and the Dakotas) and Freddie Scott ("Hey Girl"), among others. Check out www.StrawberryFieldsNYC.com !

    * Max also attended Vanilla Fudge concert in January at the Stone Pony and vistited band back stage.

July 6, 2001: A New CD Coming!

With all the delays in releasing Endless High, Vince wanted to wait until he was far enough along for this announcement. Yep! A new CD!!! Vince and the band entered the studio in early May. Sessions have been progressing right along. The new, as yet untitled CD, is already almost completed. Limited pre-release copies should be availiable for the July 20th Turning Point Show!

May 1, 2001: With Thanks!

Vince and the band want to thank everyone who came and packed Mexicali Blues in Teaneck, NJ on April 20th! The warm reception was a real inspiration. Vince came with some new tunes and some old favorites. The crowd made Vince play Cause I Love You- twice!

A return engagement has been booked for July 20th at The Turning Point in Piermont, NY. The word is spreading! Other venues are being considered in Connecticut and elsewhere!

Flash! Vince is heading back to the studio this month to begin a new CD! Stay tuned!

April 5, 2001: We hope you like the new site design!

Over the past few months, Endless High has been playing more shows. In December, there was Mecixali Blues Cafe in Teaneck, NJ, and a return to Le Bar Bat in New York City. A return to Mexicali Blues is scheduled for April 20, 2001. Don't miss it!

Vince is itching to get back in the studio. No details are available yet, but stay tuned!

November 8, 2000:

Vince has announced a change in the band line up. Jeff Guenther, Vince's bass player for the last six months, had decided to leave to dedicate his time to his own band, Jeff Guenther's Retrofitz, which is taking off! Jeff is a fine guitarist in his own right. Vince says "Jeff is a great player, and the band sounded great with him on bass. I wish him the best of luck with his own band."

Vince has asked Pete Bremy to take over on bass. While Pete held down the organ chair, Pete's primary instrument is bass, so Pete gladly accepted the new challenge.

October 14, 2000:

Vince Martell at The Turning Point

Vince, along with singer Peg Pearl, and the band, performed Saturday, September 23 at the Turning Point Cafe in Piermont, New York!

Vince, Peg, and the band kicked some serious 'you know what'! :-) The show was sold out, and fans came from four different states (that we know of) for the event! Vince performed most of the new CD and some Vanilla Fudge favorites. NTB site rep Stan Vaughn was on hand too.  The Turning Point is a small but very prestigious club where legendary musicians and audiences can enjoy an intimate setting. Artists such as John Entwhistle, Bonnie Raitt, Roger McGuinn(The Byrds), John Mayall, and many many more have performed there.
